Kairil Privacy Policy

Kairegi Ltd ("we," "us," "our") operates Kairil. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

1. What we collect

Account information: email address, and any name or studio details you provide.

Content you create: projects, shots, client and lead information, invoices, expenses, team member details, and files you upload or link (e.g. via Google Drive).

Information from people you share links with: if you generate a Client Portal or Freelancer link, anyone with that link can view the specific information it's scoped to. We log basic activity (e.g. a freelancer uploading a file) so you can see what happened and when.

Payment status: if you subscribe to a Pro plan via Patreon, we receive your membership/subscription status from Patreon (active, tier, renewal date) so we can grant the correct access level. We do not receive or store your card details, Patreon handles that directly.

Technical data: basic usage logs and error reports needed to operate and debug the Service.

2. How we use it

To provide the Service: storing your projects, generating shareable links, processing invoices, syncing with Google Drive, etc.
To maintain your correct plan/feature access based on your Patreon membership status.
To communicate with you about your account, changes to the Service, or support requests.
To improve the Service and fix bugs.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your client or project data to train any AI model or share it with advertisers.

3. Third parties involved in processing your data

Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) hosts the underlying data for the Service.
Google (if you connect Google Drive) receives files you or your freelancers upload through that integration, governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Patreon handles membership billing and provides membership status via their API; your payment details are governed by Patreon's own privacy policy.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
If you delete your account, we will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (e.g. for tax or legal compliance).
Downgrading from Pro to Free does not delete data, it simply restricts access to Pro-only features.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at support@kairil.studiokairegi.com to make a request.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data (encrypted connections, access controls, encrypted storage of sensitive credentials like OAuth tokens). No system is fully secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

Kairil is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
